Compassionate Paws Pet Therapy Program
Hospice of the West’s Compassionate Paws program provides pet therapy visitation teams to those patients who may benefit from this type of warm and fuzzy meaningful touch and presence. Our program requires dog teams to be registered through a national organization such as Therapy Dogs International or Delta Society and our guidelines are mirrored from these national requirements.
Have you wondered how you and your dog might become a visitation team?
How might you determine whether your dog is suitable to join our Compassionate Paws Visitation Program?
Do you have questions about the benefits of pet therapy?
